DNA Summit

I was honored to participate in the 1st Tanzania DNA Day Summit at the Jakaya Kikwete Hall as both a speaker and a panelist. The guest of honor was the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Florence Samizi, representing the Minister of Health, Mohamed Mchengerwa. The theme was “Unlocking Our Future Through Genomics: Innovation, Development and Societal Impact.

I presented on Community Responses to Fanconi Anemia and other rare genetic diseases in Tanzania, highlighting the importance of bridging genomics with lived experience—drawing from my journey as a caregiver.
