Fanconi Awareness To 104 Pediatricians Ivan and Joan Foundation participated in the 2026 Pediatricians Scientific Conference, under the theme "Resilient Health Systems for Every Child: Innovation, Equity and Quality of Care," the Foundation presented "Improving Outcomes for Children with Aplastic Anemia: Fanconi Anemia (FA)," delivered by Dr. Heronima Joas, Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist, on behalf of the Foundation.

The session reached 395 healthcare professionals, including 104 pediatricians, and focused on increasing awareness of Fanconi anemia, promoting early recognition, accurate diagnosis, and timely referral to improve outcomes for affected children.

We support children with rare diseases through awareness, advocacy, and Psychosocial care turning pain into purpose. We are working to establish Tanzania's first FANCONI ANEMIA diagnostic center to ensure timely, accurate identification of rare conditions and better access to treatment.
