Awareness Walk 2025 — Recap & PhotosOn Saturday, March 29th, over 200 community members, supporters, patients, and caregivers gathered in Arusha for our annual Awareness Walk 2025. The energy was inspiring, the cause was powerful, and the message was clear: Fanconi Anemia doesn't have to mean silence.

Starting from Arusha City Park at 7:00 AM, participants walked through the city streets carrying signs with messages of hope, strength, and solidarity. We saw families who have been affected by FA walking alongside healthcare workers, business owners, students, and volunteers—all united in the mission to raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding rare diseases.

Key Highlights: - Over 200 registered participants - Local media coverage highlighting the foundation's work - Speeches from patients and parents sharing their stories - Performance by the Arusha Youth Choir - Donations of TZS 1.5 million for patient care programs - Pledge commitments from three local businesses for annual sponsorship

Testimonies from participants: "Walking alongside families affected by FA was a humbling experience. It reminded me why this work matters," said Dr. Amina Hassan, a local physician.

"My daughter has Fanconi Anemia, and seeing so many people care enough to walk for her gave her hope," shared one mother with tears of joy.

What's Next? The momentum from this year's walk will fuel our programs for the rest of 2025. We're planning expanded support groups, more school awareness sessions, and improved access to diagnostic services in rural regions.

Thank you to every person who walked, donated, volunteered, and shared their story. Together, we are turning pain into purpose.

We support children with rare diseases through awareness, advocacy, and Psychosocial care turning pain into purpose. We are working to establish Tanzania's first FANCONI ANEMIA diagnostic center to ensure timely, accurate identification of rare conditions and better access to treatment.
